a really random incident which really striked me.
heard from ge who heard form xiner who called shihui and got the news from the woman picked up the phone that shihui passed away.
i like you couldnt believe it and called to confirm if it's true.
dialed shihui's number frantically.
*phone rings*
*someone picks up phone*
me: hi can i speak to shihui, please?
woman on the other end of the phone: hi girl, shihui passed away one month ago already. please don't call back anymore. you know you make auntie very sad like this. don't call anymore ok?
me: erm uh.. sorry... yup.. ok..thanks.bye (i really didnt know what to say??)
called ge. tried to figure out what happened. ge said shihui hasnt been coming down for the house pracs on sats. i thought i saw shihui around in school, but then i wasnt sure. what if it was an excuse to not to talk to us? but like who would joke about someone's death right? i mean like yar. if she didnt want to talk she could just tell us that shihui's out or sth? and not that she's dead?!? i mean, we would still see her around in school and her lie would be seen through right? so.. she's really passed away? eck. we refused to accept this as truth. there would be ppl who know about it if she really did pass away right? her batchmates, teachers?
xintian happened to be online so we asked her. and she didnt know anything about shihui passing away.
later found out that actually shihui's number on the agm file is like wrong lah :S and that xintian actually talked to shihui that day. so = to shihui is wonderfully and thankfully alive and kicking. bah. choy choy choy about her death. touchwood lah! only chu san of chinese new year somemore sheesh and the woman on the phone started talking to me about such stuff. gah.
and hmm suddenly i rmb that i packed tshirts tgth with shihui during orientation and that we sang her a birthday song on her birthday. ><
ok aft being so luosuo the moral of the story is to really treasure the ppl you have around you. you never know what will happen the next day. so seriously treasure life each day and appreciate the ppl you have with you.
and also don't believe everything that you hear. sigh, erm even though i tried to confirm by supposedly calling shihui to make sure that she's alright, but even that which i heard of is the wrong info
i dunno this thing started making me to think what w0uld happen if i died sudenly hmm. touchwood lah but yar i just started wondering about that. or if anyone else arnd us that really went off to another place. [somehow i thought about elds production yesterday my classmate died as well heh]
well we always say don't wait till we lose sth that start to treasure it. it's easy for us to say. but really there's been so much that we've taken for granted. even the very fact that we ourselves are able to live to see the sun rise again tmr. i dunno a lot of things we dismiss off as politically correct or cliched when see it right away. but i think if we try to do it then it's not all politically correct mah. well i admit there are plenty of times when i myself just take things for granted, take life for granted. but at least try to from now to appreciate things more? i'll need you guys to remind me i suppose. haha yup.
i'm still abit shocked from this whole hooha. which explains why this post is quite incoherent. but arh got homework to do need to concentrate. really you can learn a lot from this small little incidents along your journey in life.
hehe oh by the way! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GE! and HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to everyone! May all of us kuai gao zhang da (translation: grow tall and big). ok lah ppl like runty, renu, seet, cherylt, shuting shld stop growing taller. hmm bigger still got lots of room lah huh. hehe if you get what i mean :P
i guess i must really say that i love everyone here. (learn to appreciate things!)
